The Sporting Preserve features a 15-station sporting clays course, with clay throwers that change direction weekly to provide a dynamic shooting experience. Whether you're a novice or an experienced shooter, the course offers challenges that mimic the flight patterns of game birds, ensuring an engaging experience for all skill levels.
The sporting clays course is currently open Wednesday through Sunday for reservations at 9 AM or 1 PM.
Under the guidance of General Manager and Lead Instructor Michael Abbott, a National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) Level 1 Certified Instructor, guests can participate in group or private lessons tailored to their proficiency. A selection of guns is available for rent, along with ammunition and other retail items for purchase.

The Sporting Preserve is situated north of Shark’s Tooth Golf Course. Guests of Camp Creek Inn can check in for their shooting experience at the Shark’s Tooth. From there, you'll be transported approximately 1.5 miles to the sporting clays course via Kawasaki MULE PRO-FX™ 1000 side-by-sides.
Upon arrival at Shark’s Tooth, you'll be escorted to the 15-station sporting clays course. A range officer or trapper will guide you through the course, ensuring safety and assisting with target releases. The course features clay throwers that change direction weekly, providing a dynamic shooting experience.
All necessary equipment, including shotguns and ammunition, is available on-site for rent or purchase. Experienced shooters are welcome to bring their own shotguns if they prefer. Cold bottled water is provided to keep you hydrated during your experience.

Yes, private and group lessons are offered for shooters of all skill levels. Certified instructors, including General Manager Mike Abbott, provide guidance to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. For more details or to schedule a lesson, please reach out to Mike directly.
Participants should have sufficient upper body strength and maturity to handle a firearm safely. Generally, shooters aged 14 and above are welcome, but exceptions can be made based on individual assessment.
Dress comfortably and be prepared to spend approximately two hours outdoors. It's advisable to wear hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen for sun protection. Please note that open-toe shoes are prohibited for safety reasons.
